Michigan is one of the best Walleye fisheries in the United States. Jigging the Detroit River from ice out till Mid-May then we switch over to trolling with crawler harnesses. We can find a trip that meets your needs!
Early April in the river is for the fisherman looking for a trophy. If its numbers you are looking for it is recommended you to wait till May.
About Us
Captain Rex has been fishing Detroit River, St.Clair River, Lake Erie and Saginaw Bay for over 30 years.
He is a U.S.C.G. Master 100 ton Captain, with assisted towing endorsement.
CPR/First Aid trained.
Rex is a licensed bear guide in the Michigan U.P. and is also a very avid Sportsman.
What to Bring
*Michigan fishing license
*Food and drinks for the day, (no glass)
*Be prepared for the weather, it is Michigan, and dress accordingly
* Sunglasses, sunscreen, warm coat
* Cooler for your catch
Additional Information
In the event of inclement weather the trip will be rescheduled or deposit refunded. Cancelling based on weather is the Captains decision and will be based on safety.
If you need to cancel your reservation it must be done 10 days prior to receive your deposit back.
Fishing trips that cancel less than 24 hours in advance will result in forfeiture of deposit and be liable for remaining trip balance.
If you do not show up for your trip, you will be charged the full price of the guided trip.
All fish will be cleaned and bagged.
It is customary to tip the 1st mate.
Our boat is a 2017 21' Carolina Skiff, V bottom with a Yamaha 150 4 stroke. Equipped with top of the line Lowrance electronics. and a state of the art Minn Kota trolling motor.
Bluetooth Stereo onboard so feel free to bring your favorite tunes!
All rods and tackle are supplied, just show up for your adventure.
There is a portable onboard bathroom if needed.
While on the Detroit River we are docked at Sindbad's Restaurant and Marina, 100 St. Clair St., Detroit. You can take your cleaned, catch of the day in for them to cook. Click on the link at the top of our page to check out their website!
